First ever reveal of the cover for THE RESURRECTED #4! Absolutely in love with Crizam’s and Ama’s manga-esque depiction of Akimi Ozaki, with Nova Lucis looming in the background.
Issue 4 will be released digitally very soon and the art for the fifth and final issue is well under way. A collected print trade will be available early next year.
Grab your digital copies of 1-3 while you wait:
Print copies of #1 still available as well:
The art for The Resurrected #4 is almost finished so I thought we’d celebrate with an art process from issue two – showing page one from the inks through to the colours/letters. I’m a huge comic process geek so I can’t get enough of this stuff.
I absolutely love this page, really captures the dark mood of the series.
Line work by Crizam Zamora, Colours by Sal Aiala, Letters by Cardinal Rae & Plot/Script by Christian Carnouche.

Hello friends!
Our Kickstarter campaign for THE RESURRECTED comic book series has officially launched!
The Resurrected #1 on Kickstarter
If you haven’t been following, our series is a story about redemption, the acceptance of our mortality and about how far one Aboriginal-Australian detective would go to save his people from almost certain extinction. On a socio-political level, it is also an exploration of the plight of Australia’s Indigenous peoples.
Christian Carnouche is the writer/creator, art is by Crizam colours Salvatore Aiala letters by Cardinal Rae & edits by Erica Schultz
Ariela Kristantina and Bryan Valenza have also produced a stunning variant cover for issue one, while Michael Montenat has created a stunning print as a reward for the campaign.
Thanks again for supporting us!

Here’s the stunning cover for THE RESURRECTED #1. Over the moon with what our artist Crizam managed to conjure up. I’ve already seen his covers for issues two and three and they just keep getting better 🙂
We’re launching the Kickstarter campaign for the first issue of THE RESURRECTED in about a fortnight, where you’l be able to preorder a copy.

Creator Talks Podcast – Christian Carnouche and The Resurrected
He and Christopher Calloway had a really fun chat about Christian’s comic #TheResurrected, the importance of an editor (yay for Erica Schultz ), comic book promotion, the research that went into writing an Indigenous-Australian protagonist & of course vintage Star Wars.
Massive thank you to all of the collaborators Crizam, Salvatore Aiala & Erica on The Resurrected:)
I was in Sydney for a couple of weeks, having a bit of a break from comic book scriptwriting and Kickstarter prep. The weather was spectacular.
This is my new favourite building in Sydney and is right next to where I spent a good chunk of my youth. It is also served as one of the references for some of the beautiful Nova Lucis buildings designed by Crizam Zamora for our comic, THE RESURRECTED.
First ever review of THE RESURRECTED is in! And all I can say is WOW, WOW AND WOW!
“THE RESURRECTED #1 is both challenging and entertaining. Carnouche and Zamora make an excellent team for this debut comic. The comic does not shy away from issues like oppression, racism, and death. However, it is not all doom and gloom. The cop-show mystery keeps the pace moving. Cain makes a compelling and complex hero! I am eager to see what the future installments have to offer.”

HUGE thank you ComicsVerse for such a wonderful review! Not only was it extremely positive but also insightful and intelligent. I feel like they really understood what the comic was about. I am a big fan of ComicsVerse so this is particularly satisfying.
Thank you Molly for the effort and research that went into the review and for the support you have shown our team 🙂
Well done to the TR team Crizam , Salvatore Aiala, Cardinal Rae , Erica Schultz & Christian Carnouche .
